Receipt of the material – Step 1

You have probably wondered how we create a unique and elegant jewellery from a few millilitres of your breast milk. Well, we shall let you on on a few of our secrets.

First of all, the received material is precisely described, marked, and registered on our records. We catalogue all keepsakes and breast milk with utmost care and precision, following rigourous procedures. Rest assured, your jewellery will definitely be made from your breast milk and with your placenta and/or umbilical cord.

Step 2: Preservation

Two laboratory tubes with your breast milk, clearly labelled with your name, surname and order number travel to our modern laboratory. There, the milk undergoes our unique preservation processes, which protect it perfectly from changes in time.
The processes of preservation, creation and testing of the Milkies beads are constantly supervised and improved by an experienced team of chemists.

Step 3: Creating the pearls

Once the breast milk has been preserved, it is time for the formation of your pearls.

At this stage, we also integrate the remaining elements decorating the pearl – the umbilical cord, hair strands, glass, gold leaf flakes and/or any other decorative elements you may have ordered. This is the most artistic moment of the Milkies jewellery creation. It requires concentration and incredible precision . It is now when the final look of your pearls takes shape.
It will take a while before the pearls are ready for further processing. In specialist conditions, they need to acquire the right hardness, gloss and durability first.

Step 4: The first quality control

Your pearls are rigorously evaluated by us in terms of quality in accordance with the highest standards adopted by us. Then, each order is checked at the ageing chamber for any undesired changes. Using the process of accelerated ageing as well as ongoing supervision, we can predict the durability of your pearls and, if we’re satisfied, give our guarantee of a lasting performance of our product.

Step 5: The jewellery treatment

We care about every pearl in your order. Our original moulds, in which the preserved breast milk takes shape, allow us to obtain smooth and shiny pearls. Each of them is examined under the magnifying glass to seek out imperfections, which, if there are any, are then polished and smoothed out. The care and precision of manual work, combined with modern and specialised machinery, ensure the quality of our jewellery that we are so proud of. At this stage, we enhance the beauty of the pearls and highlight every detail you might want to see in your keepsake jewellery.
The last step is polishing- the pearls need only be given their final sheen and brilliance. ✨
Prepared this way, they are then fitted into the jewellery settings. Only the shiny and shimmering pearls are considered ready to be framed in gold and silver.

Step 6: Our jewellery settings and engravings

Hard to choose the one ?

You can choose from a multitude of settings in three main colours of metal – silver, yellow gold and rose gold. We offer an even greater palette of colours in the choice of cords for the bracelets. Currently you select yours from fourteen shades and two thicknesses of cord.
We have decided to meet the wishes of our customers and now offer additional personalisation of the company tags- we engrave initials, names, hearts and confessions of love.❤ E-mail us for details.

Step 7: Installation

We make every effort to ensure that your Milkies jewellery will be with you for as long as possible.
Each setting undergoes rigorous quality control before it’s connected with the breast milk pearl. Professional methods of jewellery creation and installation are applied throughout the whole process.

Step 8: Preparation for shipment

Every pearl is important and unique to us, different from others- like the bond with your child, your story, your emotions.
The Milkies creator’s handwritten personal message to you and her signature on the packaging of your order are a confirmation of all our standards and unmatched quality. It is also a personal thank you for trusting us and letting us help you to keep your most treasured memories.

Step 9: Packaging

Once we have packed all the pieces of your very special Milkies jewellery to a box with Kasia’s handwritten signature, we also have an envelope addressed to you. Your order is ready to send, but before that happens, we carry out the final verification of the results of our work with the content of your order, to make sure that we have met your expectations.

We photograph your ready-to-be-shipped order, a document which you can see before the parcel reaches you.

When the courier comes to pick up our ready to go parcels, all we have to do then is wait patiently for a message from you that the pearls will have arrived home. Only then do we consider the order to be finalised. And of course- all your feedback is extremely important to us.

Please bear in mind that your breast milk and/or treasured keepsakes stay safely stored at our premises for another 6 months. You are most welcome to place a new order without having to send anything in during this time.
